The Endbringer's Thoughts Rock Bottom and WWF in 1999

Hey all! Ready to rock! (bottom :op) OK, here are my predictions and comments on the matches for Rock Bottom:

Owen and Blackman. I personally see this as a pretty bad angle until someone decent shows up under the mask of the Blue Blazer. Owen should be higher up then this (maybe as part of Team Corporate???)If Blackman's so "lethal", give him a really deadly finishing move (a kick to the chest doesn't cut it) or make him go nuts like he used to, so he can be an early Shamrock. As a prediction, I give this one to owen, cause whoever the blazer is will probably show up, and maybe we'll finally figure out who he is (just please don't let it be tom pritchard, for the love of god)

D-Lo and Henry vs. The Godfather and Val Venis. Mark Henry is funny. D-Lo is not. If you break these guys up, I don't know where they'd go, so make them tag-team title contenders. I love Val and Godfather together. It's just great! I give this to Supply and Demand, because I've got a gut feeling that something's going down with Chyna and "Sexual Chocolate".

Oddities and 'Bangers/Tiger Ali. This is just an excuse to get Luna and Babu fighting again, which was pretty funny. I don't care for the Oddities as faces, Kurrgan was a great heel, and I want Earthquake back dammit! Giant "I wish i were Andre" Silva is not being used at all, and if WCW Giant ever comes to Titan-Land, there's a one-time match I'd like to see. I don't care who wins, it's rather pointless.

Brood/JOB Squad. The Brood is just waiting for McMahon to get off his can and really start the light-heavyweight division. Bob Holly does not belong in the Job Squad. He's not hardcore like the other guys, I don't know, it was like owen in the Nation, just plain wrong. This should be a good one, maybe the most entertaing mid-card match. I'm leaning towards the JOBbers cause they're getting a push.

Goldust and Jarrett. Get a clue folks, there will be no stripping. As much as I'd like to see Debra disrobed, it probably won't happen. Then again, maybe this is the way the WWF wants to go. Sable has been pretty close many times, and the thing with Jacky at Carnage hit big, so who knows?

Outlaws vs. Shammy/Bossy. I'm still really confused with DX. In the last few months there's been like 4 DX splits, and now this Chyna thing has got me scratchin' my head. I expect the Outlaws to win, but something tells me this won't be a clean match. (Duh.)

Le Buried Alive Match. I love Taker, so I want him to win, but chances are if the WWF wants a good Rumble buyrate, they need Austin in it. I expect it to go a while, with Kane a definite interference.

And finally, Rock and Mankind. Mr. Foley will show up as Cactus Jack, if not at Rock Bottom, then at Raw tomorrow. They're already billing Jack on house shows, so it's gotta happen some time. Major corporate interference will give Rock the win somehow, and probably push Foley back over the edge, to Cactus town. He was never main-event in the WWF as Cactus Jack, now's the time.

Well, seeing as how this is the last PPV before the new year, it's not too bad. Some interesting matches, and there's a good mix of wrestling, interference, sex appeal, and humour. That variety is the reason the WWF is on a high right now. WCW is all about NWO/Horsemen. There's nothing else. McMahon has got dozens of angles, a few controversial ones already in the mix, and some good main-event talent. If he can snag a few free-agents before WM15, he's in the driver's seat for the year 2000.

Till next time,

The Endbringer
